TV SHOW RECOMMENDATIONS ♥

23:31

Television, where to start? There are a million shows and just not enough time. I remember back in the 90's and early 2000's there were only a select few main channels, and none of this ABC having 4 different stations, which multiple shows running. We had those main channels and tv shows would take FOREVER to be aired from overseas. For example, Supernatural. It showed on channel 10 here in Australia. Some weeks it wasn't on. No explanation, no warning, nothing. Just "Oh, you were looking forward to this show all week and it's even in the tv guide, HA HA! NOPE! We're going to run Sleepless in Seattle....Again."

CURSE YOU EARLY GENERATION TV!

So, now that there is an abundance of shows out there at the touch of a button I thought I'd recommend some of the ones that I am LOVING at the moment and just in general are always on my mine because THEY ARE GOD DAMN AMAZING. Ahem. I am not going to go into depth about what each show is about because I feel like it can amp up different expectations about how a show might be like. Also it loses some of it's magical abilities for when you start watching a show without much knowledge of the premise and it blows your freakin mind because you knew that's how it starts/the story line. But if you want to know you can always google. Let's begin.

Number 1: SUPERNATURAL

Ever since, this show first emerged into my life, it has been a constant love. There is literally no boundaries. They get meta, they have awesome hilarious story arcs, fantastic acting, not to mention Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki are two handsome blokes...Did I just say blokes?!

Anyway, these strapping young lads being the super in Supernatural. With it's creepy, scary and sometimes gory-ish episodes, to the funny and meta to the super serious, emotional episodes. This show is definitely an all rounder. Plus the whole show is so grateful to it's fans and to all the people that support and watch the show it's incredibly heart warming.

Number 2: FAIRY TAIL

People that have been watching my videos and following me for a while will definitely know how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE Fairy Tail. It's one of those continuing anime that have like 300 episodes out at the moment with varying overall story arcs with smaller plots in between. AND IT'S SO FREAKING GOOD. The voice acting is amazing, the animation is just hilarious. This show is just full of LOL moments were I literally laugh out loud and not just say it as a means of just a casual response. Also it has a lot of heart, a group of misfits and weirdos that have found a place in this magical guild of wizards where they take on quests as jobs and earn money that way....Why can't this be real life?

This show is seriously so cool. Everything about it is awesome. It is definitely a bit more of a teen anime as there some small instances where it might be a bit too sexual for a younger audience. And I mean that in the mildest of terms. It just depends on what parents consider too much for their young child. But yeah give it a go. Funny, emotion jerking and full of heart. It's definitely a motivating show.

Number 3: MISS FISHERS MURDER MYSTERIES

AUSTRALIAN TELEVISIONARY GENIUS! It's not often that those words are all strung together and said out loud...The Australian Film Industry hasn't really been considered as high up there as the UK or USA but Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries is a fine example of how amazing us Aussies can be at creating, producing, filming and all the jazz. Created by Aussie Author, Kerry Greenwood = Awesome.

Let's create a check list...
Amazing, fabulous and insanely jealously invoking 1920's fashion, Check.
Crazy Perfect Acting, Check.
Period drama, with mystery, intrigue and a touch of romance, Check
Sprinkles of the challenging social norms of the era and in some cases still seen today, Check.
Impeccable era show that takes you back to a time you probably weren't born even close to, but still makes you wish you were back there, but only if you were a rich person, Check.

If you love period dramas with flare, uniqueness, a sassy, sexy lady detective that makes you wish you were her, kiss her or both (men and women feel the same), then this show is for you!

Number 4: AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER.

Now NOT the crappy movie remake that completely disregarded and threw out everything everyone liked about the show, yes the movie is a separate entity but M. Night Shyamalalalalalanananan or Whatever his name, completely stripped away all the character's personalities leaving them as dank and hollow as Kristen Stewarts acting. Ok enough ranting...he just really ruined it. Like big time.

ANYWAY, I'm talking about the Nickelodeon masterpiece. Complete with the feels, awesome element bending abilities that I wish were real, hilarious comedy relief and perfect character building and structures. Set in a world of 4 nations, air, water, earth and fire. With fire, surprise surprise, being the bad guys who are entitled and are trying to invade, conquer, pillage, etc etc. This is a perfect example of an every age show, it has everything for everyone. When you do finish the entire show and go into a deep depression because it's over, definitely watch Legend of Korra as it knocks you with the feels with how your fave characters end up, as it's set 75 years into the future...plus it's steampunk (awesome!)

There are many shows that I LOVE and always like rewatching but at the moment I'll save your eyes from reading an essay on tv shows. These are probably my most recommended at the top of my head as they are the ones that have affected me most in my life through motivation and just pure whimsy.

Hopefully these have been helpful to you in choose a show if you're stuck on what to watch at the moment. And if you have any suggestions feel free to comment them for me to watch. :)
