Hello there, stud muffins! Now my plan was to blog every night in Japan but I was so exhausted every night from walking 20,000 steps (I know that thanks to my trusty fitbit charge HR). That I just could not even fathom typing out a play by play. So instead here I am almost a week after my trip. And I've got to say, I am so sad that I am not still there. Everything about Japan is just amazing. Let's start from the beginning.

So, the 1st of May we flew from Cairns, Aus. direct to Tokyo. And boy that's a long flight (7hours & 30mins). What sucked was that it was a day flight and we were delayed, so I passed the time making sure my flight anxiety didn't go full swing. I'm not terrified of flying or anything, it's just the first time I ever had my big overseas flight to the U.S when I was 12, I got food poisoning....Twice. It was terrible and the worst experience ever. So much so that when ever I flew after that, any food smells on the plane, even brewed coffee would make me gag and faint.

Fast forward many years and I am fine on short distance flights, but long ones are a little iffy because my anxiety and brain (thanks a lot guys) likes to link my mind up to that terrible experience. But I sucked it up and was okay on the flight until it hit the 7th hour. Where I was getting hot flushes. Backing up to where I said it was a day flight, So we were supposed to leave at 12:10pm but because of a delay we ended getting into the air at around 1:30pm. I passed the time with watching Fairy Tail on my laptop and when that died, I caved and purchased in flight entertainment. We flew Jetstar where you basically even have to pay to choose your own seats, so buying inflight entertainment was a big thing for me. I couldn't sleep as Japan is an hour behind so I didn't want to have any weird jetlag. I watched Brooklyn, which made me cry my eyes out due to my life similarities, Victor Frankenstein, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, New Girl and we finally reached our destination, feeling not all that great.


When we disembarked which took forever as we were only exiting through one door, Narita Intl Airport welcomed us with it's stark white, bare immigration section. But it was all breezy and finally got out into the brisk Tokyo air.

Now, we arrived in Terminal 3 which doesn't have a direct train line, so we had to walk to Terminal 2 which was about 770m. Not a big deal and it let us adjust and take in the fact we were in Japan. Still feeling a bit gross and vommy. We found ourselves reaching the train station in terminal 2 where we got our NEX tickets which are 4000 Yen return, then headed for the platform. The train transport system in Japan is incredible. Everything's on time, efficient, multiple trains so little wait time. Plus the Japanese themselves are orderly and efficient when transporting. They line up for everything so well, you line up for the carriage, if people are leaving you move along to the side allowing all of them to leave before neatly filing inside. In Australia, it's like the hunger games, everyone shoving on as if the train can only take one person.

The NEX is a beauty. Reclining chairs, reserved seats (which can be a bitch, will go into detail in a different post) and smooth running. From Narita to Shibuya where we were staying for the week, it took about 1 hour and 15 mins. Once we reached Shibuya Station, that's where things didn't go as smoothly because I freaked out abit as there are multiple exits and taking the wrong one can add 10 mins onto your walking time. Thankfully we were walking the right way and managed to exit close to where we needed to go. Thankfully there was also a huge map at that exit and I quickly found our hotel and navigated towards it. I had a moment of panic when we were in station when I decided to ask a ticket officer if he knew, and that's when I realised I should have learned a lot more japanese before I came as most people only know a little english.

A funny story though, as I was walking up to the tickets officer a girl walked in front of me and seemed to be having a tiff with the guy she was with. She was probably in her twenties and was trying to go through the ticket gates with her SUICA card. Something was obviously wrong but not understanding any Japanese I didn't know what she was having a tantrum about. Because it's exactly what it looked like. About a minute went by and I'm still standing there trying to talk to the officer but she was in the way having her little tanty. Finally they walked away and I could ask the man. He ended up pointing me in the right direction and as we were leaving that same girl (I don't know if I could call her a woman because only children would act like this) But she was so upset with something, she just jumped down to lie on the station floor, full on lying down. And that same man trying to talk to her and calm her down.

Needless to say, it was a weird time. Finally reaching our hotel at 10:30pm Tokyo Time I was so ready for bed. We found out that our Hotel (Dormy Inn Premium Shibuya Jingumae) had free late night ramen, so that was a plus.

But I was so tired, sick and just feeling nasty so we got to our hotel room and got ready for bed. Something to keep in mind when travelling to Tokyo is that, the hotel rooms are small. Land prices are ridiculously expensive so does haven't massive hotel rooms. But the room was extremely clean, well set out and cozy, plus we got free buffet breakfast every morning.

So this was day 1 of travelling. Day two is where the fun begins.

1. Preheat the oven to 180deg C 
2. butter the entire surface of the wraps
3. sprinkle the salt flakes and the lemon pepper all over the surface
4. then cut the wrap into pieces and lay them out on a baking sheet 
5. place them in the oven for 15mins or until golden brown. (I like them when they are alittle bit undercooked so I take them out just as they have browned.)

And viola, you have tasty, easy and healthy chips for whatever the occasion.

So I have been wanting to go to this place for a while now, but I always forget. Anyway, I finally remembered and got my twerk4lyf ass  in the cafe chair (just kidding on that ass business...I don't twerk nor will I ever do such buttock movement).

It is a cafe and a home decor store, I have always wanted to open one of these some day. But they have some quaint and adorable pieces which can brighten any home as well as gifts and books of recipes of the sort. Anyway, back to the food.

So once inside my Mum and I ordered 2 cappuccinos one decaf skim and my soy cap as well as pancakes with strawberries and ice cream (who wouldn't??!)

So within a few minutes, our cappuccinos arrived and they were great! They didn't burn the coffee, or separated the soy milk (which most people do unfortunately). It was comforting and heart warming (literally! the coffee was hot but not 'you just burned all your tastebuds off for life, hot').



After a few sips of our coffees and the pancakes arrived. It was strawberries abundant. After drowning it in some maple syrup, we went in for the pancake massacre.

The pancakes were light, fluffy, moist and just plate licking worthy. Mum and I demolished it easily and sat back to admire our handy work when we were done. There was only a few bites left but I felt like I was going to burst out pancake mixture. Attractive, I know.

So yeah I would definitely come here again, the place is decently priced, it isn't the most affordable place to eat but it does make up for the quality so it is easy to look past it. All in all for 2 capps (one with soy) in mugs and a stack of pancakes, it cost $25AUD.

Aloha dudes...although seeing as this is a beauty post, more likely, dudettes! I hope you're all well and enjoying the 2nd month of 2014....WAHHHHH-UUUUT??! I know right, this year is already zooming by. Hopefully not at the speed last year went and hopefully with more eventful and momentous memories and experiences. Anyway, I shall get onto the review.

So the other day I was walking past Terry White Chemist and I saw the on sale items and I was very intrigued to say the least. Well I actually walked past and internally flipped out and my insides collapsed. That is how much I love make up and beauty products. (I think I have a problem). So when I finally got the chance to spend 2 hours rummaging through the baskets, I found the beacon to my obsession with lip products. SAX Cosmetics. I settled on purchasing one lipstick, Sheer Petal.

Now, before I get into the reasons why I love these lipsticks, I need to explain my lip situation. I have sensitive, dry and pealing lips. They can be aggravated by a dry matte formula, certain glitters and formulas that are too hydrating because they make my lips peal and flake. Pretty much they're a b!tch.

So, when I was absolutely amazed at the Sheer Petal, I decided to buy 5 more of the colours that caught my eye.

The second the lipsick touched my lips, I knew that these were different to any other lip product I have tried. For the better. I was stoked, it glided on, gave perfect pigmentation, appearance and hydration. It isn't sticky or oily. It is a delightful in between which allows me to keep it on for longer without getting annoyed, frustrated or disappointed in how it feels and it's wear time. The description on the side of the box packaging explains and describes exactly how the product feels to me.

"A pigment-rich lipstick infused with nurturing ingredients that conditions the lips, leaving them feeling soft and supple. Creates the look of creamy velvety, full-bodied lips."

And includes nurturing ingredients like:

• Calendula Oil
  Soothing, healing & anti inflammatory.

 #31 Sheer Petal: A fabulous natural shade that brings out the pinky glow in anyone's skin. With microscopic silver and gold glitters, you can barely feel the shimmer. It is a lovely "My Lips But Better" shade that brightens and allows your skin to shine naturally. Perfect accompaniment with an understated eye or with bold and daring eye make-up. As is says on the tube, it is a sheer shade, so it isn't a think swipe of colour. However, the pigmentation and product that transfers onto the lips provides a magnificent sheen for almost every skin tone.

#28 Coral

 #28 Coral: Now this shade was a surprise, not in a bad way, but if you're expecting the exact colour it is in tube form, then I guess that would be in a bad way. I found this shade's formula was a little bit drier than it's predecessors and a lot lighter and cooler in colour on the lips than it is in the tube. However, I still love the colour as I don't have one like it and the formula is still amazing in that it still doesn't dry and flake my lips. This colour is definitely more bold than expected and reminded me a bit of a Nicki Minaj lip colour. Thankfully, not to the light and cool blue undertone, degree of that range.

#27 Classic Red

 #27 Classic Red: Now, there are a million red shades out there by different brands. Some good, some bad, some hideously dry and lacking. For me, this wasn't an necessity to purchase but I don't have this shade of cool based red (helps eliminate yellow looking teeth) and again the formula is to die for. M.A.C Cosmetics does have some great matte shades that have brilliant staying power, and teeth whitening abilities like Russian Red. But when I want a glossy, nurturing and nourishing brilliant red for any classic look, I would head for this one. I mean, come on, it has 'classic' in the name. (It's there for a reason).

#34 Sheer Nude

 #34 Sheer Nude: Like Sheer Petal, this shade has very small silver glitters which do not irritate my lips. It also provides a great colour pigmentation for a sheer lip colour. It is a more neutral shade compared to the Sheer Petal, which is more pink and this is more on the brown/mauve side of the spectrum. So when you want an uber natural lip and overall look with still some lip/skin glowing features than this is the shade for you. Just throw on with some mascara and blush and you're ready to run out the door.

 As shown in the flash swatches, each colour does have a reflective sheen when first applied and is very similar to a tinted lip balm with much more pigmentation.

So if you're looking for more of a lip colour with great consistency on the lips, pigmentation and hydration without the tough to remove colour staining than this is the product for you. I have never been more impressed in a lipstick than what I have found in this range of cosmetics.

So yesterday I went Boxing Day shopping in my hometown (you're already glaring at your screen with "mistake" in your eyes) but yes I did it. I left my house, way later than when the shops opened and attempted to go shopping. Now, if you're like me and you hate a majority of mankind because they don't know the concept of common sense or intelligence, than you probably had as much fun as I did. So I did managed to get some items that I am excited I got etc etc but one thing stuck in my mind. Everyone needs a tip guide. So I thought up of 10 things that would have made my shopping experience much more enjoyable and I hope these help you too! So when I got home from spending my xmas money, I immediately wrote down some thoughts and made a video of HOW TO SURVIVE BOXING DAY SHOPPING. This also applies to any other big sales and shopping days or even just shopping in general. Hello one and all, I hope you are having a magnificent Christmas or whatever you're celebrating. Just in the nick of time I got my Bellabox for December. Now despite the fact that I was sick and throwing up at the time the box was delivered, I was ecstatic and excited before I felt the saliva well up in my mouth and I ran to the bathroom to throw up.
