Christmas Gift Ideas

01:09

Christmas is fast approaching, and if you are in Australia, you know that we don't really have any other "festive" holidays past Easter as we don't even really celebrate Halloween so the Christmas stuff is already up in shops by like the start of October (fucktards). But if you don't celebrate Christmas (which is kinda ironic because I do but I coin myself an Agnostic Empiricist), maybe Hanukkah or Kwanzaa or any other holiday these are just some good gift ideas in general. From cheaper gifts to more extravagant ones for those you want to splurge on.

$10-$20AUD Gifts

Gift sets are always a fab idea when you need to get something for someone you are just not too sure on.
  • AAAAnnndd for that, what's better than chocolate??! everyone loves chocolate, unless you're one of those nutters that don't like it (weirdos) ANYWAY, this Lindt Chocolate Fondue set is only $10 from Woolworths here in Aus. Click on any of the gift photos to take you to a link to where you can buy them.

Only $10 from Woolworths also available online.

  • Another gift for the more 'sophisticated' of your friends/acquaintances is a CHEESE BOARD AND KNIVES GIFT SET (supermarkets are great for gift sets!) also from Woolworths and for $15! I really want it even though I don't eat cheese/not supposed to.
    $15 from Woolworths
  • For the more geeky/coffee obsessed/crockery enthusiast these heat changing mugs are amazing gifts as it is has a little bit of a spin on the usual gift. They change colour/image when hot liquids is poured into the mug. They are around $10 each. The only down side is that you can't microwave some of them (maybe all of them) and handwash (I think, it depends on the mug image) as it can interfere with the composition of the mug. (It's only supposed to be heated from liquids on the inside of the mug).
    $10 from ebay
    $11.79 from ebay
    Also available from Think Geek

$30-$50AUD Gifts

*I little tip as well, unless you know the person really well and you know they like
fragrance-y bath stuff, don't give that as a gift as people might take it as
a not so subtle hint about B.O.
TRUTH!*

  • Dudes like lush stuff too, and for the dude that you know likes to smell nice and looks after himself, this is a great gift. Lush has a whole bunch of gifts too so check it out online!
Contains: The Olive Branch Shower Gel 100g, Prince Shaving Cream, Squeaky Green Shampoo Bar, Bohemian Soap and Cosmetic Lad Moisturiser Trial Size.
  • For the ladies in your life that you know love make up and beauty products than this is the best gift for them and something totally different! A Bellabox subscription!! Bellabox is a beauty subscription that sends you a box of different products every month. You can pay for a subscription for them for 3, 6 or 12 months. You literally give the gift that keeps on giving! For a 3 month sub it is $45 which is perfect. They currently ONLY ship in Australia however there are heaps of sites in the US that do similar processes like Jewelmint, Ipsy etc!

*HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!*

5+ trial sized and sometimes bonus full sized products for 3 months for
$45AUD.

SPLURGE! $100AUD+

  • So, if you know a special someone worth splurging on then these are the most epic gifts. XBOX ONE! or you could get a PS4 but personally I am an xbox gal myself. Gadgets and that are such good presents! But a very big splurge, $599! you can always get the previous models so the 360 for a much cheaper gift ($249) but with the same EPIC appreciation. (Expect some adult fun thank you for this gift =P)  If you want a comparison on the specs and comparison you can go HERE.
  • And lastly, something that I actually REEEEEEEEEEEEALLY want is a new camera to take my youtube and photography more seriously! A Canon 600D DSLR. Now it is much cheaper and easier to get the twin lens set so I have my heart set on that (fingers crossed!). It is $743 from JB HI FI. (Cheapest store I have found). For info on reviews, specs and features check out THIS website.

    Comes With:
    - 18-55mm IS + 55-250mm IS Twin Lens Kit
    - 9-pt AF
    -DIG!C 4 Image Processor
    -2 Year Warranty
I think that is everything ma lovelies!! So I hope I have given you some good ideas on what to give that special someone or that awkward acquaintance that you have no clue what they like/don't want to spend much money on them. But yeah. OMG this has taken me forever to write, it is now 1am. -____- but hopefully it was helpful!
